Adam and myself

The end of 2012 and in reflection, I have so much to be thankful for, family, friends and health. I was so excited because my two kids were coming home. My son, is on a three week break from UCF and my daughter who is a teacher had a few days to spend with us. As time goes on, I see these times are less and less frequent. When the kids are in college, we were guaranteed holiday breaks and summer, once college was finished and although we are very proud....it means the beginning of their adult life. They spend as much time as they can, but it is not guaranteed! Their rooms have changed, they are no longer filled with stuffed animals and all the trinkets that were collected over the years. They are lovingly packed and stored carefully. Their rooms reflect more of our evolution into empty nesters. Although, the furnishings are different, they both agree, it still feels like home. I can tell, as the once clean floors are now filled with clothes, their bathroom is filled hair products and the kitchen is a never closed. I guess in the long run that is what matters. To enjoy the times we are given with our loved ones both family and friends. The less frequent their visits, the more cherished they are.  I look forward to what 2013 will bring and the exciting  evolution in our lives as empty nesters. Here are a few pictures from our holiday.... Have a Happy and Healthy New Year!
